Self Rescue – Ice

This 2 day course is meant to add tools to the toolbox of a climber capable of avoiding most situations through best practices and techniques.

Program Itinerary

Day 1: 7:30 am start
This day is focused on problem solving from above. Hauling, defeating the plaquette, and lowering.

Day 2: 7:30 am start
The day is focused on on problem solving from below. Rope ascension and converting to rappel in counterbalance, retrieving a stuck rope, and counterbalance/tandem rappels.

COST

$485 per person.

Cost includes: Instruction and guiding with an AMGA certified instructor/guide, technical ice climbing equipment and transportation to the climbing area each day from the office.

PREREQUISITES

Solid grasp of climbing anchors and multipitch systems.
