Just outside of Boulder, Eldo has been the focal point of Colorado rock climbing for many decades. Eldo has world class rock climbing with short approaches and an incredible variety of styles and difficulty.
Mountain Trip will now be handling booking for climbing in Eldorado Canyon. Please call 970-369-1153 to book.
The convenience of Eldorado Canyon and proximity to Boulder make it a popular destination. The rock climbing in the canyon speaks for itself, however! With great intro climbs to some of Colorado’s most epic pitches, Eldo is host to more variety than almost any other single venue.
Eldorado Canyon is part of our Ultimate Rock Pass. The Ultimate Rock Pass is a punch pass style offering that marries the benefits of 1 on 1 instruction and guidance of a guide with the cost savings of a group enrollment program. This pass is good anywhere we offer rock climbing “day trips”.
The climbing in Eldo lends itself to any number of skill development opportunities. There is amazing toproping in Eldo, but the best aspects of the venue are the endless supply of multi-pitch climbs. Many routes have short pitches with comfortable belays making a great classroom for impromptu rope management or anchoring lessons. We often combine time in Eldo with more committing alpine trips as it is an excellent venue to gain the technical skills needed for many routes in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Rock climbing in Eldorado Canyon is life. So much of our connection to the world and the places we love is drawn from our experiences. The West Buttress of the Bastille is a great place to get “in touch” with Eldo!
